Techinnov 2019: Four startups supported by IncubAlliance in the spotlight

The 13th [event] was held on Thursday, February 14th^th The Techinnov event took place at the Espace Champerret in Paris. Created in 2006 by the Essonne Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI Essonne), this now-essential event for innovation decision-makers provided an opportunity to showcase several startups that have gone through the IncubAlliance program: Quandela, mirSense, and Posithôt, as part of the challenge. Open Innovation Defense and Space Airbus, MBDA, and Dataswati are in the challenge Artificial intelligence. A look back at a day full of exchanges and contacts.

4500 m² Exhibition space, 5 themed villages and 5 business conventions, 500 exhibitors, 2,000 decision-makers, 15,000 pre-scheduled meetings: since 2006, Techinnov has established itself as one of the essential events for players in the innovation ecosystem. Three of them were winners of the challenge Open Innovation Defense and Space were thus invited to present their innovations on the Airbus and MBDA stand and to pitch in front of an audience of industrialists and investors in the sector: Quandela, specializing in the development of innovative solutions for quantum technologies; mirSense, specializing in the design of quantum cascade lasers; Posithôt, specializing in the development of innovative non-destructive testing solutions using positrons.

A prime opportunity that distinguished project leaders were able to seize to showcase their key strengths.« This gave us the opportunity to remind the prime contractors in the aerospace industry that the time for the quantum revolution had arrived, that Europe needed to commit to it, and that our quantum technologies could help them do so.», explains Valérian Giesz, co-founder of Quandela. This ability to support industry is also highlighted by the mirSense team, whose QCL laser solutions, already used by defense contractors in countermeasures systems, could find many other applications.« We are currently working on several flagship projects, most notably free-space communication and chemical gas detection. »,« explains Mathieu Carras, co-founder of mirSense.
