ABOUT HARMONIX

Harmonix is developing a platform for delivering nucleic acids to the central nervous system.

As part of strengthening our preclinical activities, we are looking for an In Vivo Technician to participate in conducting studies on murine models and associated biological analyses.

MAIN MISSIONS

Within the preclinical R&D team, you will participate in the implementation of in vivo experimental protocols and biological analyses enabling the evaluation of results.

Animal experimentation

• Preparation and organization of in vivo studies on rodents.
• Performing and assisting during stereotaxic procedures.
• Preparation of surgical equipment and experimental solutions.
• Clinical monitoring of animals before and after intervention.
• Administration of treatments, injections and sampling according to protocols.
• Monitoring of animal welfare and application of cessation criteria.
• Participation in colony management and study traceability.
• Compliance with current regulations relating to animal experimentation and the 3R principles.

Biological and tissue analyses

• Performing tissue sampling and preparing samples.
• Processing and preservation of biological samples.
• Molecular biology analyses:
  • RNA/DNA extraction; ;
  • RT-qPCR / qPCR; ;
  • quantification and quality control of samples.
• Participation in biochemical and cellular analyses according to the projects.

Histology

• Tissue preparation (fixation, embedding, cutting).
• Performing histological and immunohistochemical staining.
• Acquisition and analysis of microscopic images.
• Archiving and traceability of experimental data.

Management and quality

• Drafting and updating experimental procedures.
• Data entry, verification and archiving.
• Management of consumable and reagent stocks.
• Participation in the continuous improvement of methods and protocols.

PROFILE SOUGHT

Training

• Bac+2 to Bac+3 in biology, biotechnology, neuroscience or equivalent field.
• Obtaining level 2 certification in animal experimentation is essential, and surgical training is strongly recommended.

Experience

• First experience in animal experimentation on rodents.
• Practical experience in stereotaxy is appreciated.
• Experience in histology techniques and molecular biology (qPCR) preferred.

Technical skills

• Mouse manipulation. .
• Basic surgical techniques and post-operative follow-up.
• Preparation and processing of biological samples.
• Histology, immunohistochemistry.
• qPCR / RT-qPCR.
• Analysis of experimental data.
• Use of office tools and scientific software.

Personal qualities

3) Documentation / quality / traceability

• Complete the documents: batch records, manufacturing sheets, equipment registers, control sheets.
• Strictly apply the procedures (SOPs), participate in their updating.
• Contribute to the management of discrepancies (deviation, OOS/OOT) and simple corrective actions, with the manager.
