Starthèse start'up pitch-iD: second edition of the entrepreneurial competition for doctoral students

On July 8, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., join us at the Auditorium of the LUMEN building in Gif-sur-Yvette to discover the most innovative projects from doctoral students at Université Paris-Saclay. Entrepreneurship, innovation, and social responsibility will be at the heart of this pitch competition.

Starthèse Start'Up Pitch-iD is an innovative territorial competition organised by the Doctoral House of the University of Paris-Saclay, whose objective is to raise awareness and acculturate the community of young researchers to innovation and technology transfer.

Are you a doctoral student or recent PhD graduate and want to take on the challenge? Join now the preparatory bootcamp that will help you transform your research into a high-impact social project. Three training sessions are offered on June 17 and 26 (all day) and July 4th (half-day), led by professionals in innovation and science communication.

This program will allow you to identify the innovation potential of your work, build a solid value proposition, and learn how to effectively present your project in French or English. The reward: the opportunity to represent Université Paris-Saclay at the national final of the Starthèse program, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research in the fall of 2025.

Would you like to participate? Choose the situation that applies to you:

• If you are a doctoral student or recent PhD graduate in the humanities and social sciences (HSS): Sign up for the bootcamp «Innovating in SHS: from the lab to the field”
• If you are a doctoral student or recent PhD graduate and have already completed training in the Deeptech entrepreneurship program, the Maison du Doctorat, or any other similar training in this field: Sign up for the bootcamp «"From research to the stage: perfect your pitch"»
• If you are a doctoral student or recent PhD graduate with a deeptech entrepreneurial project stemming from your research, but have not yet completed the ideation or advanced training of the Deeptech entrepreneurship track at the Maison du Doctorat:

  • The ideation workshop of May 23rd
  • The advanced training will begin on June 2nd
  • The training PhD in Start-up June 4th and 5th
